Who decides what art is allowed to do? Nowadays, increasingly, algorithms. Vienna, a city that is home to some of the world’s most iconic artworks by Schiele, Klimt, Moser and many more, experienced that while trying to show those very artworks in their social media networks. Algorithms labeled them as “pornographic”. The result? Deleted posts and blocked accounts. We wanted to protest against that. So we published the “explicit” art on OnlyFans. A platform that allows 18+ content. Starting a global discussion on who is allowed to censor art. More than 2,500 articles were published. Reaching more than 760 million people.
The campaign was ranked the #5 creative campaign of the year by WARC and #1 tourism campaign in 2022 by TheDrum.
